Impact. A strong word. An important word. In today's society so many things lack impact. But not Martial Arts. And definitely not the way we teach martial arts here at Edinboro Family Martial Arts Center/Impact Martial Arts.
And now we are opening a second location in the Erie area and will be holding our grand opening on August 30, 2010, beginning at 6:00 p.m. with Martial Arts demonstrations and many great door prizes! (We are conveniently located next to Pano's restaurant at 1502 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508.)
We have chosen to use the name, IMPACT MARTIAL ARTS (IMA) in Erie, PA to illustrate our commitment to changing lives. We will retain the name, Edinboro Family Martial Arts Center (EFMAC) at our Edinboro location, where we've provided instruction for the past five years.
Our senior instructor, Master Rounds, has used his more than 30 years of martial arts experience and nearly 20 years of college/university teaching experience to develop a curriculum that is rooted in martial arts tradition but recognizes the importance of modern educational theory. Students at IMA gain self-confidence through continual positive reinforcement and regularly-scheduled self- , instructor- and parental-evaluation.
Over this incredible journey, from white-to-black belt, students are recognized nearly two hundred times with informal positive motivational experiences. As well, less often, but still on a regular basis, students are rewarded with formal positive motivational experiences. All IMA (and EFMAC) instructors are instructed in the best use of these proprietary, motivational techniques.
It is through these informal and formal motivational experiences that student confidence increases to a level where each person can maximize his or her true potential, and not just in the martial arts, but in all areas of her or his life!
We believe that everyone can learn martial arts and we have classes and programs for nearly every age group. We genuinely believe that our instructors have the best possible curriculum, training, and experience to provide the best possible martial arts experience to each and every student who enters our doors.
Both locations (EFMAC and IMA) are fully santioned by several national organizations, including the prestigious American Institute of Martial Arts (AIMA).
Please read through our website and if you have any questions, call for more information. The EFMAC/IMA number is (814) 734-9664. (This is an Edinboro number that is not long distance from Erie.)
To ensure the greatest possible customer experience, we use absolutely no pressure in our enrollment conferences and we offer a 100% money-back guarantee*.
*Details avaiable at EFMAC or IMA dojos (training halls).
